Jon Muth is a native of Minnesota and a graduate of Concordia College. He lives in New York City and has worked as a screenwriter, playwright, and television writer for over 20 years. His work on the TV series "The Adventures of Pete and Pete" led to his long-running comics series "Scary Godmother" (Dynamite Entertainment), which is also published in comic book format by Slave Labor Graphics. Muth has also written for such comics as "X-Men", "Fantastic Four", and "X-Force"
He is perhaps best known for his work on the title "Avengers: The Initiative", which he helped create with writer Kurt Busiek, and with Warren Ellis on the story arc "The Hood".
